We’re thrilled to share that we recently had the pleasure of hosting some of Frank’s friends from Berlin, dedicated horse breeders with a wealth of experience in the German horse milking tradition. They visited us here in Somerset to share invaluable insights into breeding and horse care, deepening our shared appreciation for the unique history and heritage of mares milk.
Through this visit, we realised the mutual benefits of blending bloodlines from their high-quality milking horses with our own herd. As a result, we’ve decided to import a select few of their horses to strengthen our bloodlines. These new arrivals will not only expand our genetic pool but also enhance our breeding program, creating a new generation of horses that draw on the best traits from both sides. This will ultimately help us produce healthier, stronger foals with ideal milking characteristics.
A special part of this collaboration is our shared passion for preserving and elevating the tradition of mare milking, a unique craft. The exchange has been a valuable opportunity for everyone involved, bringing us closer to our shared vision of preserving and innovating within this rare industry.
